Student Therapy Services
At Willow and Oak Wellness, we are proud to offer a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in therapy while providing valuable support to others. Our student therapy services not only allow students to develop their skills under the supervision of experienced professionals, but they also provide clients with access to high-quality therapy at discounted fees.
As part of our commitment to making mental health services accessible, we offer therapy sessions with student therapists at a reduced rate. These students—whether in training or completing their internships—are dedicated and passionate about helping others, while benefiting from mentorship and guidance throughout the process. Clients receive compassionate, evidence-based care, and students have the opportunity to refine their skills in a supportive and structured environment.
Sliding Scale
At Willow and Oak Wellness, we believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality therapy, regardless of their financial situation. To help make mental health services more accessible, we offer a sliding scale fee structure for individuals and families who may need it. This flexible approach allows us to tailor our fees based on your specific financial circumstances, ensuring that you can receive the care you need without the added stress of financial barriers.
Insurance & Partnerships
The extent of insurance coverage for our therapy services depends on your health insurance or employee benefits plan. To understand your specific coverage, we recommend contacting your insurance provider directly and asking the following questions:
-
Does my plan include mental health benefits?
-
What is the coverage amount for services provided by a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, or Psychologist?
-
Are there specific professional credentials required for service providers?
-
What is the process for submitting receipts?
-
How long does it typically take to receive reimbursement?
Understanding these details can help you make informed decisions about your care. If you have additional questions, feel free to reach out to us for guidance.
Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB)
At Willow and Oak Wellness, we are proud to support clients covered by the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program. To make accessing care as seamless as possible, we offer direct billing services for NIHB. This means that eligible clients can focus entirely on their healing journey without the stress of upfront payments or navigating reimbursement processes. Our team will handle the billing directly with NIHB on your behalf, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience. If you have any questions about eligibility or the billing process, we are here to assist you every step of the way.
Jordan's Principle
At Willow and Oak Wellness, we are committed to ensuring that First Nations children and families receive the care and support they need. Through Jordan's Principle, we work to help families access essential services without delay, ensuring that the best interests of the child are always prioritized.
Jordan's Principle is a child-first initiative designed to address gaps in public services for First Nations children, including mental health care, education, and social services. If your child requires support, our team is here to guide you through the process of accessing resources and services covered under Jordan's Principle. We are dedicated to removing barriers and advocating for the health and well-being of First Nations children in our community.
Payments and Receipts
We accept all major credit cards, cash, and e-transfer as forms of payment. Your receipt will include the therapist's name, professional designation, and license number, as required by insurance companies.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice so we can offer the time slot to another client. Cancellations made with less notice will incur a fee. This policy does not apply in emergency situations—if you’re facing an emergency, please give us a call, and we’ll gladly reschedule your appointment.
